OREGON-IDAHO UTILITIES, INC. Oregon-Idaho Utilities announces the availability of Lifeline telephone and broadband service for qualifying low income 0Oregon customers. Lifeline is a GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM that is non-transferable. This program is limited to one discount per household, consisting of either wireline, wireless, or broadband service. Oregonians who receive one of the qualifying benefits may receive up to a $10.75 reduction in their monthly bill for local residential telephone service or up to a $12.75 reduction in their monthly bill for a qualifying broadband service. Proof of eligibility may be necessary for enrollment. The eligibility criteria for Oregon Lifeline includes the following: Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program; Food Stamps (SNAP) Supplemental Security Income (SSI) Medicaid Federal Public Housing Assistance (Section 8) Veterans and Survivors Pension Benefit You may also qualify if your total income is at or below 135% of federal poverty guidelines.
